Private Appointments

Explore the possibilities of joining us at Trained By Science – no referral needed! We welcome private sessions and accept applicable private health cards. Your journey begins with an initial assessment, where our practitioners gain insights into your goals, abilities, and areas for improvement. Following this, we collaborate with you on a personalised plan tailored to help you reach your goals.

Chronic Conditions and GP Management Plans

Our Exercise Physiology clinic accepts referrals through General Practitioner (GP) Management Plans, specifically the Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). Whether you’re managing chronic conditions or recovering from injury, we can assess your current abilities and provide suitable interventions to address and improve these concerns. If you’re currently managing a chronic condition, consult your GP, as you may be eligible for a GP Management Plan.

Work Cover

If you’ve recently experienced a work-related injury, you may qualify for Exercise Physiology treatment under a WorkCover QLD claim or CTP Insurance claim. Our practitioners provide a thorough initial assessment to guide a plan of action for your return to work in optimal physical health.

For enhanced support in your return to work with an Exercise Physiologist, consult your WorkCover QLD or Insurance Case Manager to confirm your eligibility for services. According to WorkCover QLD guidelines, you are entitled to 20 minutes of consultation time with an Exercise Physiologist before insurer approval. Subsequent services require prior approval.

NDIS

We accept plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. Our practitioners specialise in musculoskeletal, neurological, mental health, and neurodevelopmental conditions. Our versatile facility allows us to utilise both gym and field modalities for health improvement. Previously, we have successfully utilised sports and game-based exercise to improve fitness.

To be eligible, you must have an approved NDIS plan with allocated funding for the Improved Health and Well-being & Improved Daily Living subcategories. Explore how we can support your journey to improved health and well-being through NDIS-funded services.
